Posted on February 29, 2016
CINEMArriba, Letran Bataan's short film fair is indeed getting bigger. Literally.
The films ‘Stranger’ & ‘Nawawala’ which were produced by Communication seniors as part of their video film-making subject made its big screen debut at the Centre Plaza Mall Cinemas in Balanga City, Bataan last February 27, Saturday.
Cast, crew and the directors Neil Franz Hizon (Stranger) & Lianne Acidera (Nawawala) were given the red carpet treatment as cameras flashed upon their entrance to the theatre whilst answering interviews with on-site student reporters.
Cast and crew face photographers and student reporters at the premiere night.
Prior to the showing of the two films, ‘Alas’, a five-minute short film made by Communication juniors was also shown. Afterwards, the directors introduced their films before the audiences consisting of their friends and families as well as cast members, alumni, employees, and other guests.
The by-invitation premiere was made possible by the efforts by the third year Communication students taking up Events Management, an elective in the program's curriculum.
Credits roll for the psychological thriller film ‘Nawawala’.
The screening for Letran Bataan students will be held on March 1 & 2 at the audio-visual room as part of the CommFest 2016, a showcase of various production output by Communication majors for the past semesters such as advertisements, documentaries, variety shows, & short films.
