Letran Bataan ManComm wraps up midyear review
Posted on November 16, 2015
The Letran Bataan management committee composed of the rector, priests and lay administrators, and coordinators of various departments convened for the mid-year performance review & workshop held last November 13 & 14 at the Oasis Hotel in Angeles City.
The review enabled the team to look at the progress of the targets set at the beginning of the school year.
Mr. Randy Castillo, director for Planning & Development, presented the organizational performance dashboard among the participants to guide them on the status of accomplishments per area.
The participants were then divided into groups to propose action plans to fill in the 'gaps' or targets not met covering community & spiritual formation, academics, research, facilities and finance matters.
"We have a development plan. Our vision and mission are clear. We just have to appreciate that so we know the role that every department plays." Castillo said.
"When we make decisions, we should always look not just to the procedure, but also to the effect it has in the entirety of the institution."
Fr. Clarence Marquez, OP, rector & president, emphasized in his closing remarks how important planning is.
"It's always there in the bible how God planned-- to save us, how he intimated his plans through various means, through prophets, who then told of God's plan to the people." he said.
He further shared his dream for Letran Bataan to achieve real autonomy as its independence in terms of resources would play a very crucial role in the One Letran System.
