For three consecutive years, Letran Bataan has been hosting the Regional Mass Training of Teachers (RMTOT) in lieu of the implementation of the Enhanced Basic Education or the commonly known as the K-12 Program.
ALL ROADS LEAD TO ONE
The first batch of teacher-trainees coming from the entire province of Bataan who gathered in the campus were teachers of Grade 10 English, Filipino, Mathematics, and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP).
Their six-day training was held from May 11 to 16, followed by the second batch of teacher-trainees teaching Grade 10 Science, Araling Panlipunan (AP), and Music Arts Physical Education and Health (MAPEH) on May 18 to 23.
"This year's training is indeed tiring compared last year which was only 5-day long but it was all worth it because we learned a lot.", uttered by Ms. Nairry Ricacho, a teacher-participant.
Letran Bataan is the only service provider in Bataan and has been very supportive to this kind of undertaking by virtue of its partnership to Department of Education (DepEd).
"As reflected in the evaluation, I'm very happy to inform everyone that Letran Bataan has been hailed as the best service provider compared to other Teacher-Education Institutions which serve as service providers in Region 3!", exclaimed by Dr. Tarcila Javier, superintendent of DepEd - Division of Bataan
This year, the trainers were able to make use of Letran Bataan's LED-TV equipped classrooms for the audio-visual presentations. The auditorium, the audio-visual room and laboratories were also used in various sessions.
One of the highlights was the campus radio tour of the Science teachers in which they were oriented about the various audio equipment used by the student disc-jockeys.
Further, the school's buses were used as transportation of teachers from their billet to the training places. The school dormitory and Raven Resort were used as their stay-in accommodations.
The activity was spearheaded by DepEd and organized by Letran Bataan high school department.
